HE IS MY KING!
It’s Sunday the 7th May and I’m enjoying a heavenly & rare Sunday at home, pottering in my garden, watching ‘Love Your Weekend’, cooking a Sunday roast & watching all the highlights from yesterday’s stunning, patriotic and heart-warming Coronation.
As a true Monarchist & yes, I’m proud of it, leading up to this historic day I was concerned the public weren’t going to get behind it, especially when the media was full of stories that so many artists had said no to performing in the concert. However, when the day arrived, the streets were full of supporters, the spirits were high, and it was a joy to see.
Tony
had really wanted us all to go down to London for The Coronation and, although
I see his point of being part of a moment in history, I’m now glad we watched
it all from the comfort of our
own home, with our family around for Afternoon
Tea as we would have been extremely wet & crowded in London!!
I
thought the whole event was spectacular, everyone looked incredible, and it
really couldn’t have gone any better.
King
Charles looked wonderful & personally I’m pleased Queen Camilla is now
accepted on the whole as,
although I adored Diana, she really is his soulmate
and is the person who absolutely should be by his side throughout his reign.
The Wales’s took my breath away as always, what a beautiful family and to me, they really are the future of our Monarchy. The children all looked and behaved impeccably, and The Prince & Princess of Wales are simply perfect.
I’ve
hated how Harry has behaved recently & I’m really not a fan of Meghan after
the devastating rift she’s caused but, despite people trying to find
controversy, I think he pitched it correctly, being friendly and not hiding
away whilst also not drawing too much attention. I’m so glad Meghan didn’t come
though, despite how lonely he looked and how, as the son of The Monarch he
really should have had his wife by his side at such an important occasion, as
she would have created an uncomfortable atmosphere and it would have put a
completely different spin on this beautiful day. It could have been such a
different story if she was a better person in my humble opinion and I really do
worry for him in the future.
All that aside, I’m more than aware that the pomp & ceremony is not for everyone, some of my closest friends are completely against it, but I embrace it and think it brings our country together.
The
past few years we’ve had Jubilees, Coronations, sadly funerals of our Monarch
& Duke of Edinburgh and, be it a joyous or sad occasion, I feel it unites
us and makes us proud to be British. Let’s face it, there’s no country on earth
can present State occasions in our capital as we can.
So,
although many people will say ‘not my King’ I really believe the majority of
British Citizens do believe in our Monarchy & that King Charles is
our future and will be a wonderful King!
Yes,
‘King
Charles is my King!’
