    My Max As your little boy gets older & then becomes a teen, it's not always 'cool' to be out and about with your mum. However, a mum and son relationships is a very special one and to keep your bond strong it's important to spend one on one time together. Max is no different to any other 15 year old boy, he loves me a lot but sometimes I'm the most embarrassing mum ever. However, when it comes to lovely treats, deep down he loves us having time together x   CINEMA & PIZZA DATE You might not enjoy your sons choice of film as much as your daughters but there's still nothing better than a cinema date with your boy, popcorn and pick 'n' mix preceded or followed by a meal at a pizza restaurant to have a good catch up. Boys can be a closed book sometimes so having a meal together is a great way to get his full attention and make him happy by filling his stomach!!   As much as I love dressing up & going out, as someone who leads a very busy life my perfect day would be a Sunday at home with my family. Being the business owner of a Theatre school I work most evenings during the week & all day Saturday so I very much look forward to my favourite day of the week which is Sunday, especially if we have plans to just stay at home & around our village. The kids are often busy on Sunday's with various hobbies & my work can often run into Sunday's too so when I see a free Sunday coming up in the diary I'm a very happy girl! I very rarely get a lie in so it's nice to just get an extra hour then Tony will bring me a coffee up to me in bed. A fresh coffee is the first thing I have to have in the morning to get me going. As gifts in our 40’s, Tony & I have preferred to do experiences rather than material gifts & for my 2022 Christmas gift he surprised me with a trip to Marrakesh Morocco! With 2023 being ridiculously busy, our first chance for him to book was August. So, after finishing work for the summer on the last Saturday in July, we set off early the next Sunday morning for our Moroccan adventure. After a trouble free flight & only 3 hours from the UK, the heat hit us more than I’ve ever known getting off a plane before, probably because we’ve had such a rubbish summer in the UK so far! Marrakesh is extremely hot at this time of year & has been in the 50’s during our stay. We were picked up & brought straight to our hotel, and holding our breath the whole way due to the chaos on the roads ….. but that could be an entire blog post in itself!!!!!!!
