LIFESTYLE, LEISURE,
PLACES & HOME
When your first born flies the nest to go to Uni
I’ve got very mixed emotions this
week. In just one week’s time Tony & I will be taking our baby girl to
University and I cannot believe where the years have gone. On one hand I’m
unbelievably proud of her. She’s going to study Law & has done amazingly
well in her A levels. On the other hand, I’m going to miss her like crazy and
I’m absolutely dreading it.
Luckily she’s only in Leeds which
isn’t far away but I don’t want to visit her for the first few weeks to give
her time to settle in & make new friends. It’s a big change in all our
lives but I’m so excited for her & this new chapter in her amazing life.
BEAUTY, HEALTH &
STYLE
Hydrafacial Review
In my opinion this is the best
facial out there. I’ve had this treatment a few times now and the effects are
fabulous. I can see a difference in my skin for a good few weeks after and it
really does hydrate my skin. I like to get them every couple of months. Not a
cheap facial at £120 a time but well worth it. I get mine done at my local
salon but they are available nationwide at a similar price.
RESTAURANT OF THE MONTH
James Martin – Manchester
I’ve been wanting to visit this
restaurant for ages and so taking my brother for his 40th birthday
was a perfect opportunity. I booked for us to go for the Sunday lunch which is
amazing value and we really weren’t disappointed. The service was outstanding,
the food divine and the whole experience was excellent. I highly recommend this
fabulous establishment & I can’t wait to return.

FILM/TV SHOW OF THE
MONTH
‘And Just Like That’ –
Series 2
It’s definitely an improvement on
Series 1!!
BOOK OF THE MONTH
‘Love your life’ –
Sophie Kinsella
I usually love Sophie Kinsella
books but sadly this one was quite poor in my opinion. Unfortunately it was my
holiday read and I persevered to the end but I can barely remember what is was
about a week later. Very average and not one I’d recommend.
PRODUCT OF THE MONTH
Elemis Pro Collagen
Cleansing Balm
Elemis is a brand I’ve used since my early 20’s
when I worked as a dancer on cruise ships. I love the bath products, body
products & especially their skincare products. As most women do, I’ve tried
many beauty brands over the years but the Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm is
my all time favourite.
This luxurious balm is nourishing and melts away
makeup and the days pollutants & impurities leaving skin feeling completely
cleansed & hydrated.
Most skin products need to be changed over the
years as the skin ages, but this is one
product that has worked for me throughout the decades.
A 100g pot is approximately £46. A very small
amount goes a long way so this size pot can last up to 4 months when used once
a day.
