10 MID LIFE PODCASTS YOU SHOULD BE LISTENING TO IN 2024

I drive a lot for my job and there’s nothing I love more when I’m driving than to put a good podcast on. These days there are a vast selection of podcasts available covering any topic imaginable for every age & every gender.

The knowledge out there is vast & I love podcasts to learn new things on a daily basis and, as a woman in midlife, these are a few of my absolute favourites of the moment.

1.     The Mid-Point Gabby Logan

I love this podcast. Gabby Logan is simply a likeable person which comes through greatly in her podcast. She has some fantastic guests who are all interesting and happy to open up to her with their own personal stories, successes and struggles. Gabby is authentic & compassionate but isn’t afraid to ask the questions we all want to hear.

2.     Postcards from Midlife – Lorraine Candy & Trish Halpin

I find this a very relatable podcast for ladies of my age approaching their 50’s and beyond. Their guests are all relatable to ladies in their midlife and Lorraine & Trish’s own stories & anecdotes about parenting teenagers are so honest and it’s extremely comforting to know we’re not alone on this journey.

3.     Conversations of Inspiration – Holly Tucker

Holly Tucker is an extremely influential and inspiring businesswoman. As the founder of ‘Not on the High St’ she has certainly learnt the successes and hardships of running a business and in this podcast she interviews a different female business owner in each episode. For any business owners out there including myself, this podcast is fascinating and extremely insightful with so many tips and invaluable advice.

4.     Happy Place – Fearne Cotton

One of the first podcasts I listened to. Fearne is a true pro and in her podcast she delves into the lives of fascinating people who have made a big change in their lives or to help others and revealing what happiness means to them.

5.     The Mindset Mentor – Rob Dial

In this podcast, Rob Dial blends neurology, neurobiology, psychology, early childhood development & cognitive behavioral therapy to help you understand the way your brain & body work together. He explains how, when you understand yourself, it makes it much easier to make a plan for you to change & succeed.

6.     The Liz Earle Wellbeing show

The Liz Earle podcast aims to help all women have a better second half and thrive later in life by investing in our health & wellbeing today.

7.     How to Fail – Elizabeth Day

I love the concept of this podcast. Citing that you can’t succeed in life or business without the inevitable failures that come our way  and, how these failures have shaped her incredible array of guests for the better.

8.     White Wine Question Time – Kate Thornton

This  podcast is a bit more fun and recreational which we all need from time to time. The likeable Kate Thornton interviews various well known celebrities asking them 3 insightful questions over 3 glasses of wine. Great if you just need to switch off and enjoy some celebrity gossip!

9.     Big Fish – Spencer Matthews

Definitely my new favourite podcast at the moment. Spencer is young, successful and vivacious and, as he is growing more experienced in his own business ventures, rather than just a reality star, his podcast is insightful and educational as he interviews successful & inspirational entrepreneurs to uncover their secrets of success.

10. Fearless – Trinny Woodhall

Trinny has overcome adversity and is having a new wave of success with her makeup brand Trinny London, which she launched in her mid-life. This podcast focuses on people who have overcome challenges and fears in their lives in order to thrive.

She has a line up of stellar guests and digs deep into the fears that can hold us back from our goals and how to overcome them.
